A national provider of apprenticeships has chosen to base its latest IT Academy at Derby Conference Rooms.
Over the coming months, Remit, a leading provider of apprenticeships and adult learning across the UK, will be running its Derby IT Academy from the meeting rooms and conferencing facility based on Pride Park.
Remit’s Derby IT Academy will be delivering advanced IT apprenticeships, which are endorsed by Microsoft, to young people aged between 16 and 24. Each apprentice has already been found an employer by Remit.
They will all attend the academy to gain the knowledge to achieve nationally recognised qualifications and IT certifications, while being employed and consolidating their future careers in the IT sector
Commenting on Remit’s decision to base their latest IT Academy at Derby Conference Rooms, Les Meadows, Programme Manager for Remit’s IT Academy, said: “The facility gives us an ideal working environment where the apprentices can learn and achieve. It is ideally located on Pride Park, which allows us to attract apprentices from across the East Midlands, and offers us the flexibility that we need to develop and grow”
Founder of Derby Conference Rooms, Kavita Oberoi said: “We’re delighted that Remit felt Derby Conference Rooms was the right location to roll out their latest IT Apprenticeships. Our facilities have allowed Remit to move quickly in the delivery of this training, and at a time when young people are finding it difficult to secure employment, it’s vital that this kind of high level support is available to those in the early stages of their careers”
